She was born on November 26, 1990 in Pristina, Republic of Kosovo. Shortly after her birth, she moved to the United Kingdom where she grew up in West London. Rita Ora’s passion for music started at a young age. She appeared in the British film Spivs in 2004 and was a contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest (she withdrew after several episodes as she did not feel ready).

On February 24, 2012, Rita visited New York’s most popular radio station, Z100, to debut her lead single “How We Do (Party)”.
